Do you have cravings for sugary or high carb snacks, brain fog, mood swings, or exhaustion after meals, especially a few hours after breakfast or in the late afternoon? You might be having spikes and dips in your blood glucose ("blood sugar" swings!)
Once you shift from using sheer willpower to building tiny new habits that are custom designed for YOUR life, you will be on your way to a complete transformation as you take control of you, one healthy habit at a time.
When people commit to getting support on their journey of changing their lifestyle habits, a few things happen. First, they understand what to prioritize so that they can feel better, function better, and have more vitality as quickly as possible. Second, they get help figuring out solutions that may not be obvious to them. Third, they have a strong commitment and an accountability system so that they can get back on track quickly after an unplanned behavior. A supportive and motivating coach can really help, especially when events and obligations in our lives make it hard to prioritize our own well-being.
Do you like chatting or meeting with others who are on a similar journey? Private and group coaching clients have access to their own community.
Flourishing begins when we gain control over ourselves! This program helps us to halt our saboteurs in their tracks so that we can move towards our goals with greater ease.
People always say, "I could never do that!" when they see me going into a handstand. My hand balancing practice is the result of having the opportunity to spend time learning with patient, compassionate, inspiring coaches who simply knew how to empower me with the tools to do this. This video is 2023, a couple of years after triple spinal fusion surgery. Suffice it to say, initially my body was very off balance. The anesthesia and surgery threw my body into a diabetic frenzy. I had to get on medication and still didn't have great blood sugar control. I also could not get my weight under control until I began using the tools and practicing the lifestyle habits that I teach my clients today.
There is no one solution that fits everyone, but each of us have behaviors that we can change and actions that we can take in order to not only prevent a decline in well-being, but to flourish!
"I am doing meal prep once a week and have the food ready to cook when I get home. We rarely order pizza now and my whole family is eating healthier. I can tell when I have had the 'just right' amount for my body. I take a breath and stop eating. I am tuned into my body now and I can tell which foods make me feel good."
"I used to just come home after work and eat peanut butter from a jar. I also didn't know how to put together balanced meals. I learned a lot of ways to do simple meal prep and really enjoy the variety of foods I am eating. I use the hand and plate methods to figure out my portion sizes along with thinking about the activities that I have planned. I have new workout routines that have become habits!
